SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM INFORMATION - 2020
EVANSTON
Summer Youth Food Program: Beginning on Monday, July 6, the Youth Food Distribution Program will transition to the Summer Youth Food Program. As in previous years, free cold breakfasts and lunches will be served on a first-come, first- served basis daily, Monday through Friday, to youth ages 1 to 18 years old. All meals will be grab and go and no congregating will be allowed. Breakfasts will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following four locations through Friday, August 14:
● Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster St.
● Robert Crown Community Center, 1801 Main St.
● Kamen Park David Wood Fieldhouse, 1111 South Blvd.
● Mason Park, Church Street and Florence Avenue.

SKOKIE
In partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Skokie Public Library (5215 Oakton St.) will distribute grab-and-go meals for children younger than 18 and adults with disabilities from 1 to 2 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, starting June 22, ending August 28. Each box will include two breakfasts and two lunches, and will need refrigeration. This curbside service will take place on the south side of the library near the book return bins. Library staff will place meal boxes in the trunk of a car or back seat. Families on foot will pick up their meals from a table.

NILES TOWNSHIP
Niles Township High School District D219 will provide free breakfasts and lunches to students for pickup during the summer break. The schools will distribute two days’ worth of meals on Mondays and three days’ worth on Wednesdays. Distribution is from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. on those days. The meals are prepared by Quest Food Management Services. There is no charge for the meals. Students from several elementary sender school districts will also be able to pick up meals at the high schools. Here are the pickup locations:
Niles West High School, 5701 W. Oakton St., Skokie
Door 13, South Lobby entrance (south side of school, enter off Gross Point Road)
For students from Niles West, Skokie-Morton Grove School District 69, Niles
Elementary School District 71 and Skokie Fairview School District 72
Niles North High School, 9800 N. Lawler Ave., Skokie
Door 12 (Athletics entrance on west side of school)
For students from Niles North and East Prairie School District 73
Julia S. Molloy Education Center, 8701 Menard Ave., Morton Grove
For students from Niles Township Special Education District 807 (up to 22 years old)
and students from Morton Grove School District 70
Distribution will take place outside each school building to ensure the safety and sanitation of the building during this shutdown. Students or their families may simply approach or drive up to the distribution point, and quickly pick up the meals. The last pickup for this program is on Wednesday, August 5.
