Learning Together Teacher Trainings

CNE's Learning Together Program has been providing services for children with special needs at their child care programs for more than 15 years.  As part of its professional development, CNE offers a Learning Together Teacher Training Program, which is held ten times per year at no cost to the participant. The meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Evanston Civic Center through June, and participants are provided healthy snacks and a chance to share experiences across programs. Topics covered include helping children exposed to trauma, interpreting challenging behaviors, developing perspective, supporting second language learners, using play to increase literacy, and supporting respectful transitions from home to school. Presenters are all experts in their fields, affiliated with local higher education institutions and are often presenters at local and national early childhood conventions.

For more information, call CNE at (847) 475-2661.

Learning Together teacher trainings are made possible through a generous grant from The Cultural Diversity Initiative, a fund of the Evanston Community Foundation.
