About PreK Connections

Evanston PreK Connections is a project developed by the Childcare Network of Evanston that brings state-funded services for “at risk” preschool children into family child care homes and child care centers.

These services include

• On-going assessment, including screenings and child portfolios.
• A PreK curriculum that is aligned with Evanston Community Early Learning Standards and emphasizes literacy development.
• Training opportunities and on-site consultation for family child care providers, led by an Illinois Type 04 certified teacher.
• PreK Connections web pages that give child care providers access to individualized curriculum ideas and resources.

For more information about Evanston PreK Connections, please contact the Childcare Network at 847-475-2661.
