Childcare Network of EvanstonFounded about 50 years ago, CNE is an invaluable community resource providing comprehensive information for families searching for high-quality child care and early childhood education options in Evanston and surrounding communities. What began as a volunteer organization in 1967 is now recognized as a national model ensuring that every child has access to resources and programs that foster physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.

CNE provides families with:

  • Referrals to licensed and/or accredited child care programs, both home-based and center-based programs with availability in the community.
  • Resources to assist you with your child care search as well as help you to evaluate providers and know what important questions to ask while conducting your search.
  • Up-to-date information on available financial assistance and how to access these resources.

"Families play a vital role in helping children acquire critical skills at an early age. Not all families have equal resources, but every family should have equal access to the resources their children need for successful early development."
