Evanston Early Childhood Community Collaboration

Our vision...

Every child in our community will have the opportunity for excellent early childhood education that reflects our diversity. The Evanston Early Childhood Community Collaboration represents a diverse group of organizations committed to improving and expanding the care and services available to young children in the Evanston community. We have nineteen formal member organizations and more than ten additional participant organizations that represent early care and education providers, District 65 schools, city government, higher education, and business.

We are in our third year of collaboration and have received several grants, including a recent grant from the Evanston Community Foundation to help staff the work necessary to prepare our community for Universal Preschool. Other accomplishments of our Collaboration include supporting the development of community-based early learning standards, hosting a forum with legislators on the crisis in public funding, and partnering with District 65 to offer a community-wide Early Childhood Symposium.
